Davis began his tenure with the Service Employees International Union in Washington, D.C.
When he was tapped by SEIU to develop national communications strategy for the union's political campaigns and legislative initiatives, Politico wrote that “the hire is a sign that SEIU's new leadership intends to keep its large Washington footprint.”
While working for SEIU in the nation’s capital, Davis was part of a coalition that persuaded Congress to pass deficit-reducing legislation which saved the jobs of 300,000 cops, teachers, and firefighters.
Davis came to SEIU from the ABC News Television Network where he served as Deputy Director of Political Coverage.
